The Mixte frame became popularized in France in the post-WWII era as an alternative to traditional road frames.  The lower height and architectural beauty of its twin top-tubes makes mounting and dismounting in a skirt or a dress a breeze, and the long and low geometry is ideal for a slightly sportier ride than the fully upright Step Through, while retaining a more relaxed personality than a traditional road frame.  Pick the mustache bar setup for maximum comfort, the adventure bar setup for a sportier stance, or the porteur bar setup for something in between.  A nice set of fenders would really complete the look, don’t you think?
